Just though we could share some photos of some recent stationery! These sets feel very cool with their blue on blue color palette. We're also adding wax seals to our finishing options, in case you're feeling like you need another special touch to your letterpress stationery.
Congratulations to our Britt and Tony on their wedding a couple weeks ago! We worked with them on a variety of letterpress stationery for their San Francisco wedding, including these announcements and bookmarks. They have a really sweet story about meeting on a city bus, and wanted to incorporate that into the design of their stationery. The image of the bus became a fun recurring element, as well as the map of San Francisco's transit system.
As a thank you to their guests, we made these custom bookmarks with the map and bus design. At the bottom it reads, "Always thank you bus driver" as a nod to their meet-cute. (And its definitely a cute one!)
Congratulations to Jill and Joe on their wedding last weekend at Linden Terrace at Fort Tryon Park, here in New York City!
We’ve had the pleasure of working with these guys over the course of a year to design and letterpress print their save the date announcements, invitation suites and the day-of menus. They selected our Hudson design and personalized it with nature inspired imagery and mixing in a warm brown kraft paper.
Jill and Joe's save the dates were simple and modern, with the paper choice adding a nice warmth. The rich, black ink on brown kraft paper truly shows off the details of our letterpress printing.
The information card and welcome party card in their set both featured different natural elements. The information card on kraft paper has some beautiful illustrations of greenery, while the welcome party is topped with a vintage, flying bird. These seem to be the perfect elements for a wedding in the lush Fort Tryon Park!
We recently updated some of our letterpress stationery designs, to give them a fresh look! These note cards come in a traditional and modern style, for personal note writing or business stationery. We love these bright yellow sunglasses for someone young at heart.
We share a lot of photos of the stationery we're printing so for a change, we've decided to step back and show some pictures of our studio and printing presses.
We do all of our own letterpress printing here in the Brooklyn studio. Doing this ourselves allows us to really pay attention to each piece that passes through the press and be certain that it matches the design we've created. It is important to us that our stationery is perfect as it has to represent the people who will be writing on and sending it. Having control in the printing helps us ensure this.
Plus, we like making things and it’s immensely satisfying to start the day with stacks of blank paper and finish it with stacks of beautiful stationery!
We are so excited to see one of our favorite couple's wedding featured on Carats and Cake site this week! Claire and Tom were a dream to collaborate with! Their save the date announcements featured a cow letterpress printed in a pale tint of soft blue, a nod to the wedding venue, Blue Hill at Stone Barns. They chose a soft sage colored floral design for their invitations to match the gorgeous flowers that would surround them on their wedding day. We worked closely with them for a year and it is great to see the pictures of this special couple on their wedding day!
Here's a peek into the process of printing some floral save the dates for a fall wedding. These save the dates were printed as postcards, with a beautiful large floral image on the front and the necessary information on the back. We printed the text in a wine red as, and a warm tint of gray for the large flower. It feels like the perfect color comination for an end of summer wedding at a vineyard.
